Record Price for part of the Glass Tower

Paul Davies, the famous British interior designer and luxury home developer, is buying three upper floors in the glass tower, which is situated at the East 22nd Street (One Madison Park). The contract is supposed to cost him$31 million and this may be a record.

Paul Davies is to live at One Madison Park to work on his business plans. Already he has many properties in different places around the world. He has plans to use dark woods like mahogany  and walnut.

Davies sold a 10-bedroom London home to Madonna for $12 million. He is known for developing luxury homes with his interior designer skills.

Davies has plans to use two floors and develop the third one, though news about the third floor is not confirmed. Total area is 10000 square feet. The actual penthouse with 8,200 square feet has a price tag of $45 million. If the penthouse is sold at this price, then it will sure be a record.

Right now One Madison Park is 18 stories high which will go upto 60 stories. The average price per square foot is $2,500. The tower will be below the MetLife clock tower. The tower will be open next year.

The price paid may be the record price for a single condominium.
